Plyco Announces Afterpay Support

It’s taken Australia by storm and has finally found its way to Plyco; that’s right, Afterpay is here. Customers will now be able to take advantage of the handy system that allows you to pay for your plywood in instalments, while still getting access to your much needed sheets right away. Purchasing plywood at Plyco has never been easier!

What is Afterpay?

Launched in 2017, Afterpay is a service that allows you to “buy now and pay later”. After making your purchase a payment plan is set up, where you pay incremental instalments on your items until you’ve eventually paid for the whole thing.

Who is Afterpay Suited For?

In general, Afterpay is suited for any customer. Whether you’re buying one sheet of plywood or 100, there’s never a case where using Afterpay isn’t suitable. However, the most common use for Afterpay is for those big, bulk orders. When purchasing in large quantities there can be a bit of sticker shock when you eventually see the final price, but thanks to Afterpay this is a thing of the past. The monthly payment instalments chops the price down into four manageable chunks, meaning you can relax as the sheets are paid off in a way that doesn’t sting your bank account with a single, immediate transaction.

Even if you aren’t purchasing large quantities, Afterpay still works for you. Who can argue with the convenience of not having to pay the full price of an order right away?

Why Use Afterpay?

There are a whole range of benefits that Afterpay brings to the everyday customer at Plyco. One of the biggest benefits is for independent builders or small business owners who need to front the costs of building materials without an advance payment from their clients. Rather than dropping all of that money up front, you can pay it off in smaller increments; providing you with the necessary cashflow to purchase other tools and materials required to complete your project.

You’ll also find that Afterpay is incredibly easy to use. All you need to do is create an account and you’re ready to start using Afterpay. It’s also seamlessly integrated with Plyco’s online checkout. You’ll never need to worry about tracking confusing payment plans or overly complicated processes. Simply checkout with Afterpay and they’ll do all of the hard work for you.

Afterpay doesn’t charge customers any interest or hidden fees either. The only fees you’ll ever encounter are late-payment fees. What you see is what you get with this system, so as long as you pay on time you’ll never have any nasty costs sneaking up on you.

Similarly, Afterpay is a great alternative to using a credit card. Everyone has heard those credit card nightmare stories, so switching to Afterpay means you don’t have to ever deal with any interest fees. Additionally, Afterpay automatically splits up your purchase into four equal payments, meaning you don’t have to do any calculations for what you’ll need to pay back each week.

How to Use Afterpay at Plyco

Using Afterpay with Plyco is a breeze. It is available for every single Plyco product in our online store, with the Afterpay option being displayed at checkout. Just choose Afterpay and they’ll take care of the rest, with four equal weekly payments being calculated for you.

Currently, Afterpay is available online with a phased roll out planned for in-store customers across both our Fairfield and Mornington locations.

If you’re ready to start taking advantage of this convenient new payment option, head over to our online store and start the journey to your next incredible plywood project!
