The Plyco Guide to Tabletop Plywood

One of the most important things when it comes to a Tabletop Plywood is that the sheet face looks gorgeous and can withstand all of the general wear and tear that comes with a tabletop surface. Thankfully, Plyco has cultivated an extensive collection of Tabletop Plywood options that not only features just about every colour under the sun, but have also been designed specifically for table use.

What is Plyco’s Tabletop Plywood Collection?

Plyco’s Tabletop range is a curated collection of stunning products designed specifically for use in tabletop applications, but can also be utilised within any living environment for a multitude of projects. The collection consists of five different product types: Decoply, Bamboo, Strataply, Birch Film Face, and Spotless Laminate. Each of these plywood varieties are vastly different from one another, so to give you an overview and a better understanding of what’s right for you we’ve broken them down below.

Decoply

Decoply Tabletops are made to order utilising our Décor range of 13 laminated colours. The different thicknesses we offer for the Decoply range are 12/15/18/24 and 30mm, which you can mix and match with any of the colours we offer.

As of now we currently offer Snow, Slate, Orange, Raven, Mint, Rust, Sky, Charcoal, Cloud and Cream in our solid colours range, as well as White Oak, Graphite Oak, and Chocolate Oak in our woodgrain range.

Bamboo

Bamboo has become an increasingly popular product, partially due to the fact that it is technically a grass. Bamboo can grow up to one metre per day and does not require replanting after harvesting, which makes it extremely eco-friendly.

Bamboo also offers a lot of variety in aesthetic as it comes in 3 different grain types (Wide Grain, Narrow Grain, and Strand Woven) and three different colours (Natural, Carbonised, and Multi). These different grain types and colours can be mixed and matched to suit your preferences. Bamboo Tabletop sheets comes in four thicknesses; 19mm, 25mm, 30mm and 40mm.

Strataply

Birch Film Face is a product that was once utilised only within the construction and formwork industry but has now taken on a new life. To create our Birch Film Face, premium exterior-grade Birch Plywood is covered with a smooth phenolic black or white film on both sides.

It has become increasingly popular thanks to it being dynamic, functional, easy to clean and maintain, while also possessing an eye-catching edge profile. As is with our other tabletop products, it comes in a range of thicknesses (12mm, 18mm, 25mm, 30mm).

Spotless Laminate

Spotless Laminate is a new addition to our ever-expanding collection of laminated panels, bringing a host of new benefits that opens a world of possibilities. The biggest benefit of using the Spotless laminate is its super matte finish. This surface has been scientifically engineered to ensure that no fingerprints are left upon touching it, while also being anti-bacterial, heat and impact-resistant, and able to be left in direct sunlight without fading.

It is currently available in Black, White, Hazelnut, Magma, Pewter, and Porcelain, and can be laminated onto a variety of substrates, such as Birch Plywood and MDF.

Tabletop Plywood Applications

As the name suggests, our Tabletop Plywood range is designed primarily for tabletop use. Whether it’s kitchen benches and counters, coffee tables, or anything in between, the products in this range are the perfect option. Additionally, you can also apply these sheets in other areas, such as shopfitting, cabinetry, and joinery.
